Seahorse Class are a reception class of very busy children who love to be active and on the go! We love dancing, climbing and diving into anything messy! We encourage our children to explore, experiment, and discover through play- even when this means the staff get messy too!

Seahorse Class have made fantastic progress since settling into Cliffdale, we are so proud of them. One of our favourite parts of the day is when we sit together in ‘large group’ to listen to our welcome songs. ‘Singing Hands’ songs are a clear favourite, all our children love to engage with these songs by vocalising, dancing along or imitating the Makaton signs.

 All of our class have also made brilliant progress developing their communication this term, they have been working so hard on learning to exchange a symbol to request something exciting such as a motivating toy or food.

This term’s topic is “EIEIO," We're learning about all the amazing animals that live on the farm, from cows and pigs to sheep and chickens. We’ll be singing farm songs, exploring sensory trays, learning animal sounds and even creating animal art pieces. We might even get to meet some real farm animals!
